About Silky Ears Spaniels 

Silky Ears Spaniels is a small, dedicated breeder of purebred English Cocker Spaniels based in Cockatoo, in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria. The welfare, happiness and healthy development of our puppies is always our highest priority.

My name is Amba and I work professionally in animal reproduction. My role involves IVF, embryo and sperm cryopreservation and reproductive surgery in rodents, alongside their daily care. This work has given me a refined, in depth understanding of reproductive biology and animal welfare, which directly informs my breeding practice. I am also well versed in the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (POCTA) Act, ensuring all practices meet current welfare standards. 

I have been working in the animal industry since 2018 and my background allows me to bring a level of knowledge and attention to detail not commonly found in small scale breeding programs. I combine this scientific expertise with a hands on, personal approach to raising each puppy.

At Silky Ears Spaniels, my focus is on producing well bred English Cocker Spaniels with excellent health, stable temperaments and true to type characteristics. Every litter is carefully planned with the goal of contributing positively to the breed and maintaining a strong, healthy Cocker Spaniel community.

Our puppies are raised in our home and receive consistent interaction, play and individual attention throughout their early development. We place a strong emphasis on early socialisation, helping them grow into confident, well adjusted dogs.

As part of our puppy program, we implement Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) as part of our puppy program, techniques that support brain development, resilience and emotional confidence from an early age. These early experiences help our puppies adapt confidently to new environments, people and situations.

We understand how important it is to make the transition from our home to yours as smooth as possible. We take the time to get to know each puppy’s personality and work with our families to ensure the right match. We remain available to offer guidance throughout your dog’s life.
