Yes. Guardian dogs live full time with their guardian family as loved household pets. They are only returned to us when required for breeding, whelping and puppy rearing.
This varies depending on the individual dog. Females will have a maximum of three litters and are typically retired before five years of age.
No. Guardian dogs must remain entire while participating in the breeding program. Once retired, they are desexed at our expense and ownership is transferred permanently to the guardian family.
We retain ownership while the dog is actively part of our breeding program. Once retired and desexed, full ownership is transferred permanently to the guardian family.
If circumstances change, the dog must be returned to us. We remain committed to every dog we breed for their entire lifetime.
If a dog is deemed unsuitable for breeding, they will be retired from the program. Desexing will then be arranged and ownership transferred in accordance with the guardian agreement.
